The CSF held the 3rd annual “Friends of the Fund” Best Ball competition at Hudson National Golf Club on Wednesday, September 13, 2017. A special thank you to Peter Deutsch for donating Redemption Rye Whiskey and to Rocky Patel for cigars to complete the day. It was a perfect day for golf, the wind was calm with a slight overcast which made the conditions ideal. The field consisted of fifteen twosomes competing for low gross and low net team prizes. Morgan Gregory (GlenArbor) and Jimmy Knight (Round Hill) were awarded 1st place low gross with a one under (70). Michael Karger (Century) and Michael Connors (Doral) came in just one shot away from tying the winners with an even score of (71). In third place was Bill Collins (Meadowbrook) and Jake Hommel (Wiltwyck) with a (73).
In the low net competition, Jeff Jackson (Stanwich) and Peter Deutsch (GlenArbor) took home 1st place low net honors with a score of (63). Philip Tamussino (Siwanoy) and Jeff Rohr (Siwanoy) came in two shots off the leader with a low net score of (65) to take 2nd place. Morais Miranda (Hudson Hills) and Michael Connors Sr. (MGA E-Club) added a low net score of (67) to capture 3rd place.
