On Tuesday, October 25, the WGACSF hosted the annual Alumni Reunion. This year’s venue was Ardsley Country Club in Dobbs Ferry, NY. Close to 90 supporters of the fund, many of whom were alumni, took to the course for a round of golf and to celebrate the comradery of the caddie scholarship fund.

On a foggy day at Ardsley, the event went off without a hitch. 18 groups played in a Stableford event with prizes going to the top three Net and Gross scores at the end of the round.

In the gross competition, Kyle Hover took third, Tom Aberle placed second and Allie Reid was the winner with 33 gross stableford points. Hover, the third place finisher, was a graduate from the CSF class of 2020.

The net competition featured a close finish as well. Rocco Pozzi came in third with 40 points, Brendan O’Sullivan from the class of 1999 was second with 41 points and Glenroy Cousins inched into first place with 42 points to take the victory in the net division.

After the round participants retreated back to the clubhouse for a delicious spread provided by the club. CSF Alumnus Tom Ryan from the very first class of scholars, spoke to the group stating that the caddie scholarship fund means so much to him because “it not only put me through college, but I truly believe it helped put all my children through college as well.”

The fund has aided just shy of 3,000 young men and women with scholarships since 1956 and the total money allocated to these awardees is close to $25 million.

The Alumni Reunion is always a highlight of the CSF schedule and it was a special and fitting way to wrap up an incredible event season for the fund.
