Since 1956, the CSF has made it a mission to never turn away a caddie in need. For over 65 years, we have stuck to that mission offering college scholarships to eligible candidates of the MGACSF. A candidate must have completed a minimum of two seasons in “service to golf” at a Metropolitan Golf Association (MGA) member club. “Service to golf” includes caddieing, work in the golf shop, bag room, on the practice range and golf course superintendent’s crew.
MGACSF Scholarship
Nearly 3,000 students have been welcomed to the CSF family since the Fund began. Currently, 185 scholars are attending 112 colleges, universities or technical institutions around the United States. These scholars represent 55 clubs in the surrounding counties.
Current MGACSF Scholars
Endowed and named scholarship funds provide additional opportunities for aid. These special scholarships are awarded according to guidelines established by the donor. Some are for specific fields of study, or for caddies from specific clubs, and some are awarded above and beyond the general MGACSF scholarship.
Endowed and Named Scholarships
The Evans Scholarships are awarded to a select group of caddies who have a strong caddie record, excellent grades, demonstrated financial need and outstanding character. Applicants are evaluated and compete for a limited number of scholarships awarded annually.

The Jay Mottola Scholarship (JMS) is a significant scholarship, available for four years of undergraduate study. The JMS celebrates the longtime MGA executive director as well as his contributions and support of the game on all levels.
