The WGA Caddie Scholarship Fund provides financial need based scholarships to anyone in service to golf at local participating golf and country clubs. Our scholarships range from $1,000 – $10,000 per year and are awarded for the duration of the student’s program. Scholarships are granted for community college, four year colleges and universities, as well as accredited trade schools and certificate programs.
Honorary Scholarships are given to applicants that fulfill the requirement of “service to golf” but do not demonstrate financial need. While they are not granted monetary scholarships, they are designated WGA Caddie Scholars based on their record in service to golf, outstanding character and work ethic. Honorary scholars are invited to be a part of the Caddie Scholarship Fund community and vast alumni network.
Applicants must demonstrate financial need, have applied to or currently attend an accredited school, and have worked a minimum of two seasons in service to golf at a WGA member club. Service to golf includes caddying, golf course maintenance, and work in the golf shop, bag room or on the practice range. Club members and their children are not eligible to apply.
Westchester Evans Scholarship
The WGA Caddie Scholarship Fund has partnered with the Evans Scholars Foundation to offer a co-branded “Westchester Evans Scholarship.” The Evans Scholars Foundation is one of the largest providers of college scholarships in the United States. It provides full tuition and housing scholarships to certain partner schools.
The Westchester Evans Scholarships are awarded to a select group of caddies who have a strong caddie record, excellent grades, demonstrated financial need and outstanding character. Applicants are evaluated and compete for a limited number of Westchester Evans Scholarships awarded annually.
