John Pinto Scholarship

The late John J. Pinto was a longtime Caddie Scholarship Director and member of Wykagyl Country Club, where he also served as Club President. He dedicated more than ten years of service to the Fund as Chairman of the Investment Committee and treasurer before assuming the role of President, a position he held from 2002-2006. He was the 2002 recipient of the Udo Reinach Award, given in recognition of his outstanding support of the Fund in the form of time, talent, and treasure. John was also a member of the Westchester Seniors Golf Association for 20 years. He served on the WSGA Board of Directors as Treasurer and Secretary from 2003 to 2006. In 2017, John was the recipient of the WSGA Distinguished Service Award for his dedication and service to the game of golf.

The John Pinto Scholarship Fund was established shortly after his passing in 2020. Pinto’s passion for the game and caddies will live on through the endowed scholarship in his name. The John Pinto Scholarship will be awarded for the 2022-23 academic year to an applicant from Wykagyl Country Club.
