Mike Fishbach was a longtime member of Rockrimmon Country Club and an ardent supporter of the Fund. He passed away suddenly in November 2014. A respected attorney, avid golfer and family man, his wife Patti and children Debra O’Keefe and Barry Fishbach, decided that a college scholarship for a deserving caddie in need would be something that Mike would appreciate. The endowed fund was established in 2016, through contributions made in memory of Mike from family and friends. Awards are made to outstanding Rockrimmon Country Club caddies.
Patti Gittelman Fishbach took up golf as a way of spending time with Mike but she was quickly hooked. They both loved to travel and sought out destinations where they enjoyed playing golf together. Patti was very proud of the memorial caddie scholarship and was an active participant in selecting recipients. In 2022, Patti was especially thrilled that the scholarship was awarded to a female caddie for the first time. With Patti’s passing in November 2022, her family renamed the scholarship as the Mike and Patti Fishbach Memorial Scholarship Fund in honor of both Mike and Patti.
