1,995 Holes Played in 10th Annual Golf Marathon

The 10th Annual WGA Caddie Scholarship Fund Golf Marathon took place at Knollwood Country Club on Monday, August 27, 2018. With the support of marathoners and donors, this year’s event was a huge success with contributions projected to total over $80,000! Thirty players raced through the scenic landscape of Knollwood Country Club, and battled extreme heat in hopes of playing as many holes as possible from sun up to sun down. Participants included local area caddie managers, caddie scholar alumni, as well as Friends of the Fund who are members at CSF member clubs.

Golfers played a combined 1,995 holes, but at the end of the day nobody completed more holes than our leaders Jeff Wattles (Greenwich) and Alex Wynn (Greenwich) as the pair finished 116 holes each. Peter Nicholson (MGA Foundation) trailed by just a few, adding 108 holes to finish the day. Leading fundraisers with contributions exceeding $26,000 each were Joe Pica (Shorehaven) and Kyle Sedlacek (Sunningdale).

* Note that fundraising numbers are currently estimated, with totals still being finalized*
