DARIEN, Conn. (October 2, 2023) – The eighth annual Chris C. Hickey Invitational was held at the Country Club of Darien on Monday. A field upwards of 80 attended for the annual fundraiser in honor of the late Chris C. Hickey.
Started in 2016 by MGA Caddie Scholarship Fund board member Greg Hickey, the CCH Invitational serves as a very special event paying tribute to his late twin brother Chris.
This year’s event grossed nearly $100,000. Over the eight years, the event has grossed over $1,000,000.
The golfers were greeted with a picture-perfect day for a shotgun shamble event.
Andy Forrier, Mike Nashold, Brian Tack, and Tom Savage won the net competition in the shamble with a score of 51. The gross winners were Scott Hudson, Chris Mickelson, Steve Forzaglia, and Jared Conlon with a score of 66.
The CCH Invitational continues to be one of the largest single-day fundraisers for the MGACSF and now has helped award 23 CCH Scholarship recipients.
