Obituary: Mike Turnesa Jr.

The Westchester Caddie Scholarship Fund mourns the loss of Mike Turnesa Jr., the longtime head golf professional at Rockville Links Club, and former assistant at Knollwood Country Club. Turnesa passed away on May 10.

Obituary

Born into one of the greatest golf family dynasties, Mike got his start as an assistant golf professional when he worked for his father, Mike Sr., at Knollwood. Mike Sr. was the head professional at Knollwood for 44 years before he passed away in 2000 at age 93.

When Mike Jr., a former Westchester Amateur winner, took the job at Rockville Links, it clearly was the right fit, as he was there for 36 years. Mike is survived by Nadine and his three children: Tawn, Michael and Marc. Marc is a former PGA TOUR winner, and Mike III worked for his father as an assistant professional for a number of years before entering the business world.
